The economic pioneer of China

 

In the early stage of reform and opening-up 30 years ago, Shenzhen was the first Special Economic Zone city of China depending on 4 pillar industries: technology, logistics, finance and culture and was hailed as the city of innovation. In the modern city with an average age of only 27, the GDP per capita ranks No.1 among all cities in China; the per capita disposable income ranks No.1 in China and it is estimated to increase to 49,000 RMB in 2015. Shenzhen ranks No.3 in the competitiveness rankings of Mainland cities after Beijing and Shanghai. By 2015, the total GDP of Shenzhen is estimated to reach 1.5 trillion RMB which is comparable to that of Singapore.

Futian District

 

Center of the Special Economic Zone of Shenzhen

 

Futian District is located at the center of the Special Economic Zone of Shenzhen, where the Municipal Party Committee and government of Shenzhen is situated. It is also the central area for Shenzhen’s key development and construction; meanwhile, it will be the administration, culture, information, international exhibition and business center of Shenzhen in short time.

Shenzhen’s central district is the hub area of Shenzhen’s transportation with the running subway No.1, No.2, No.3, No.4 and the to-be-opened No.11, No.16 and other lines as well as the Central Train Station of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong all converging here. Via the two main motorways Binhe Road and Shennan Road, you can get to any place of the city quickly and conveniently.
Via the intercity railway net, Shenzhen’s central district can be connected with Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other international metropolis.
